PM Youth FREE Laptop Scheme 2023 Apply Online

The PM Youth Laptop Scheme is exclusively for students of public universities in Pakistan. The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has provided a list of eligible universities for the PM Youth Laptop Scheme 2023. Both male and female students from Sindh, Punjab, Baluchistan, KPK, the capital territory, ex-FATA, GB, and occupied Kashmir are eligible to apply for this scheme. Shahbaz Sharif Laptop Scheme 2023 Requirements

Currently, provincial governments are distributing laptops to outstanding students in public sector schools. Under the Shahbaz Sharif Laptop Scheme 2023, students in matric, intermediate, bachelor’s, and master’s programs are eligible to receive laptops. However, to qualify for the PM Youth Laptop Scheme, students must obtain a first division. Additionally, only regular male and female students are eligible to receive laptops under this scheme. Furthermore, Ph.D. and MS/M. Phil students in Pakistan can also apply to receive a free laptop.

The Registration Process is now extended till Date

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has announced the new phase of the Laptop Scheme, and the date for registration will be announced later. The notice contains information on the criteria and rules for this phase, and all prospective students are advised to register before the deadline.

Under the Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme, the Higher Education Commission (HEC) will distribute around 200,000 laptops to students of public sector universities and degree awarding institutions in Phases IV and V. Sources from HEC have stated that the deadline to apply for the laptops is September 30th. The first phase of the scheme was initiated in 2022-23, with a plan to distribute 100,000 laptops in each financial year of the government.

As this is the last year of the sitting government, it has been decided to distribute the remaining 200,000 laptops in 2022-23 to complete the target of 500,000 laptops in four years. Initially, only Ph.D. and M.Phil students were selected for the scheme, but later, BS-level students were also included. When the scheme was launched, distance learning universities were not part of it, but later Allama Iqbal Open University and Virtual University were also selected to participate in the scheme.

Attention Students: The Government of Pakistan has announced the launch of the 4th phase of the PM Laptop Scheme. According to sources, the Chief Minister of Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif, has revealed that the scheme will distribute 115,000 laptops to students in the 2023 session. The launch of Phase-4 will take place in Lahore, and previous governments have already distributed 310,000 laptops in the first 3 phases at a cost of Rs. 30 Billion. Laptop Schemes 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The government of Punjab has decided to distribute one hundred thousand laptops among the following categories of youth:

  1. All students of four-year BS degree programs who have achieved a minimum of 60% marks or above (in the previous year) in the case of annual examination system or 70% or above marks (in the previous semester) in the case of the semester system.
  2. All postgraduate students (Part I & II) of two-year Masters degree programs who have achieved a minimum of 60% marks or above (in the previous year) in the case of annual examination system or 70% or above marks (in the previous semester) in the case of the semester system.
  3. All currently enrolled students/scholars of MS, LLM, M.Phil, and Ph.D.
  4. The top 100 students of each Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education of Punjab.
  5. For first-year students, the data for the last examination in which the student appeared shall be considered.
